Row by Row Experience

It’s a BIG, easy shop hop! 
Simply visit any participating quilt shop during the summer and ask for the pattern for a row in
the Sew a Season quilt. Each shop is choosing a season to represent in their row and offering the pattern at no charge to customers who visit the store between July 1 and September 2, 2014.

There are no fees and no passports! 

All shops are open different hours: 
Be sure to check the shops' websites or call ahead when planning your route to verify the summer hours.

Each area has a Facebook page and the shops are posting photos of their rows. You can "like" your area's page and any you plan to visit, but you don't have to be a member of Facebook to see the photos and the details about the shops.

Row by Row Experience
Win prizes! Join Row by Row Experience and win a prize for sewing! Complete a quilt using at least 8 different rows from 8 different 2014 participating shops. Be the first to bring it into a shop and you win a
stash of 25 fat quarters. (That's 6-1/4 yards of fabric!) Win a bonus prize for using that store's row in your quilt. A quilt will be considered "complete" when it is quilted, bound, and labeled.

Use any pattern to layout your rows. 
You decide. Stack your rows, arrange around a center medallion, make them horizontal, vertical, upside down, on the front, on the back, whatever! You are the designer. Be creative and have fun, but be sure to use at least 8 different 2014 rows. The important disclaimer: One prize per quilter. You may make several quilts and show them off in several shops, but you may only claim one prize. Your quilt will be photographed for Facebook and everyone will see it, so play fair!

What's Happening at the Shop

There are still kits available for 2 more people to participate in the PEACE AND UNITY block of the month program. Call or stop in to get your kits. We also now have wool-black, white, and brown herringbone. All great for wool applique. And the $4.00 and $6.00 sale fabrics are available through June.

New Summer Shop Hop

We are participating in the Row by Row Experience this summer. It is a shop hop that covers 33 states and is easy to do. Check out the Row by Row Experience Facebook page for more information or stop in the shop. Every participating shop designs a row and gives out the free pattern in July and August. New Magazine

The Missouri Star Quilt Co is now publishing a magazine called BLOCK. They are beautiful, full of great projects and only $5.99. We have the first 2 volumes in stock. Don't miss out!

The 13th edition of the Quilter's Travel Companion has arrived just in time for summer vacation. It will make sure you have the most up to date information.

Over-Stock Sale

 We have been digging out some extra bolts from block of the month projects and shop hop quilts. All of these bolts have been marked down to $6.00 a yard, one yard minimum. This is a good time to get backing for any of the quilts you are working on. We are also continuing the Downton Abbey fabric sale at 20% off and there are still some sale bolts for $4.00 a yard, one yard minimum. The sale goes through Friday, May 23, so don't delay!

I Love My Quilt Shop

November News

The Farmer's Wife BOM starts this month on Thursday, November 14. The class will meet monthly for 6 months and each month you will learn a technique to mke several blocks from The Farmer's Wife book. Stop in or call to sign up.

It's Shop Hop Time!

Wednesday morning at 8:30 ten shops will be opening their doors for the 2013 Ohio Amish Country Shop Hop. Country Charm Fabrics along with the other 9 shops will be open Wed-Th-Fri from 8:30-7:00 and Saturday from 8:30-6:00.
