There is sill room in Kim Diehl's Simple Whatnots Club that meets this Saturday, April 11. Her patterns and fabric are wonderful. A machine quilting class has also been added to our class list. It will meet on Saturday, May 16. Stop in the shop or call fr details.

Finishing Kits

We still have finishing kits and the confetti background fabric for the 2014 Ohio Amish Country Quilt Shop Hop. This was the first place quilt and it is really beautiful. If you haven't seen it in person stop in it's hanging in the shop.

Trip Around the World Class

There is still room in Saturday's class- Tumbler Trip Around the World. You need 5 fat quarters and the 2 1/2  inch tumbler ruler to make a wall hanging. The class starts at 9:30 and runs till 3:30. It is really fast and fun. If interested stop in or call the shop.

Snow Day

Do to ALL the snow we will be closed today Jan. 26. Hopefully reopen tomorrow Jan.27. Today would be a good day to stay in and Sew, I am.

New Kim Diehl Collection

We now have Kim Diehl's new collection Heritage Hollow in the shop. It's her best collection yet. The fabrics will be used in the Simple Whatnots Club that features wall quilts designed by Kim Diehl. If you are interested in joining stop in or call the shop, so we can have kits available. We also have the new Missouri Star magazine. Get yours while supplies last.

January Special

January Special- Presencia Perle Cotton is 20% off per spool. It's a good time to start some embroidery or wool applique! Also, we've been moving fabric and have added to the sale table. Stop in for backgrounds or backings. It's $5.00 a yard one yard minimum.

Successful Scrap Quilts form Simple Rectangles- (ALL) The quilt created in this class comes from a book by Judy Turner and Margaret Rolfe called Successful Scrap Quilts from Simple Rectangles. The book is not required but has a variety of other variations using rectangles. The sample is done in 30’s prints.

Tumbler Ruler Trip Around the World- (ALL) Learn how to use the Tumbler Strip Ruler in this class. We will make a wall hanging that is 33”x37”. The tool makes cutting a snap. Need 2½” tool for the class.

There is a detour To Country Charm Fabrics if you come St Rt 89 from the north.

1. State Rt 89 is open to Twp Rd 1500 then
2. Turn left on Twp Rd 1500, go about a mile.
3. Turn right on Twp Rd 355, go about a mile to the stop sign.
4. Turn right on Twp Rd 1600, go about a mile to the stop sign.
5. Turn left on St Rt 89.
6. Go into Jeromesville and through the light then turn left past the second house.

Farmer's Wife Class

Our friend Carol Shriver has finished her Farmer's Wife Quilt top. She is letting us share it and it is stunning!  There is still time to sign for the Farmer's Wife class that starts Monday, October 20 and meets monthly. Call or stop in to sign up.

October Classes

It's not too late to sign up for October classes. Pumpkin Embroidery is on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 10:30. There is still room in Kim Diehl's Simple Whatnots Club on Saturday, Oct 11 at 9:30. And there is a Sit & Sew on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 10:30. Call or stop in if you are interested.

Quilt Show

This week the Tree City Quilters present their City Blues Quilt Show at the Buckeye Event Center in Dalton, OH. We will be vending at the show which is Friday, Sept. 26 from 9-7 and Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9-5. Stop in to see us at the show or the shop. The shop will have regular hours.

Farmer's Wife Block of the Month

The Farmer's Wife Block of the Month class will be starting October 20. It runs for 6 months and a variety of techniques will be taught each month. Call or stop in to sign up...don't wait!

Quilts of Valor

We have some of Robyn Pandolph's Faded Splendor fabric line. We also have the American Glory pattern which would make a wonderful Quilt of Valor for a woman. Stop in to see a sample of the quilt.

Closed for Labor Day

The shop will be closed on Monday for Labor Day. The newsletter and class list will be out next week. Here's a sneak peek. We are starting a Kim Diehl "Simple Whatnots Club" that meets monthly for 6 months. Also, a quilt called the "Unknown Quilt" will be taught in 3 sessions. You will learn English paper piecing and applique. This is truly a beautiful quilt.
